Marinke – Sleeping Volcano
Have you heard the story
about this piece of rocks within the sea?
A volcano conquered the island
and filled its beaches with black sand
Carrying a strength to be admired
this mountain filled with fire
Now on its top white snow has come
to be reflected by the sun
The volcano sleeps its time like it was just a mountain
Throughout the tides, throughout the tides
Taking the road through the crater
leaving their cars a minute later
People gaze at its impressive sight
just a cover for the inside
Are those visitors aware
that one day smoke will fill the air?
covering upon the death
the blood of lava red
But the volcano sleeps its time like it was just a mountain
Throughout the tides, throughout the tides
Waiting for the day to come to blow fire and dust
and cover the sun, and cover the sun
